CHEST & HEART and PHYSIOTHERAPY ASSOCIATIONS OF T&T
There will be an Annual Health Walk on Saturday April 25th 2009 @ 7:00 am
Registration is $40 and can be completed at the Chest & Heart Association office at 13A Wrightson Road (building after Licensing Office). All registrants will receive a T-shirt. There will be no medals for finishers but there will be booths providing testing for diabetes, blood pressure, etc..
Breakfast will be provided after the Health Walk!

T&T Unit Trust Corporation Ribbons of Hope 5K
The Unit Trust Corporation’s 8th Annual Ribbons of Hope 5K continues to be the country’s largest road race dedicated to raising funds and awareness for people living with HIV/AIDS.

KEEP FIT & 5KM
Caribbean Cross Training (CCT) will be hosting every month a series of Multi - Sport Keep Fit in Chaguaramas on weekends from 2:00 - 6:00 PM. . The prime objective is to encourage families and our communities to get together through sport.
The first event will be a Aquathlon (Run Swim, Run event and 5KM Run/Walk. Relays Teams of 3 are invited for the Aquathlon and we welcome Running Relay Teams of 5 for the 5K.
Companies, Community Groups, Gyms ,Swimming Clubs, Water Polo Clubs, Football Teams, Hockey Teams , Adventure Racing Clubs etc are all invited to become part of our keep fits.
For individuals just interested in trying a new event the Aquathlon is very safe and worth the try. The swim segment will be held at UTT Pool in Chaguaramas. Life guards, Security and EMS officers will be on duty. You are free to pause during your swim at any time. The 1km run course is a loop which allows the opportunity to see the competitors more than once. The course is in the area of the UTT pool and is in a very cool environment Part proceeds will go to our ongoing scholarship program for athletes at CCT where they will learn to swim and get involved in Multi - Sport training. Marion House young men will also be present to compete and this event as our guest team.CCT has started a weekly coaching session for the Marian House boys and Supervisors in the areas of General fitness , Basic coaching of Table Tennis, Strength Training, Mental toughness and goal setting etc. Marion House has several talented athletes in different disciplines but the home has no budget to support this program. CCT has volunteered its services there and we encourage persons to make contributions to Marion House for sporting equipment or the extra coaching support that is needed. Persons are also invited to just come in to Marion House and help in any way they can. Please call us at 358-3499 for more info on this project.

Rodney & Friends Entertainment are hosting their first 5K Walk/Run at the Aranguez Savannah on Saturday April 4th @ 4pm.
Pre-registration is at Kenny's Sport Shop branches at Trincity Mall and Chacon Street. However you need to register before March 27th or wait until race day. Fees are Pre-registration $40 Race Day Registration $60.
The race starts at Gordon Street Mt. Lambert. There are open prizes for 1st - 5th place as well as Age Group and Corporate prizes.

Well the Carnival is over so Road Racing is back on track.
The Kiss Road Racing Series is set to begin on Saturday March 21st with the 1st race in Diego Martin. The Race begins at Tru-Valu on Wendy Fitzwilliams Blvd in Diamond Vale at 4pm. Registration is $25.00 and will be on site.
Rainbow Warriors is hosting a Savannah 1 Lap Race and a Mini-Duathlon on Sunday March 22nd.

CLICO International Marathon & 5K
Registration is well on the way for the CLICO International Marathon and 5k.
Persons interested in the 5K should visit Kenny's Sport Centre branches nationwide to fill out a registration form and collect their numbers.
